We looked at a quantity of ovens and wanted one thing that did the simple points and did not take up also considerably space. No convection (we have a convection oven) and no digital - its just a fundamental appliance. We looked at the BD 240 but this just seemed too standard and also flimsy. Then we saw this one particular. It has all the fundamentals, it is a really good, smaller size and its silver / black which matches our kitchen. It has three controls (as compared to the standard model w/ 2) generating it simple to select temp, function and time. The handle is securely attached to the glass door -the metal ends wrap about the glass so it will not fall off (a complaint about other ovens). It has a great slide out crumb tray that has access from the front with the oven door close - this tends to make it pretty straightforward to empty. Nicely toasted our first bagel in just a handful of minutes and it was quite evenly browned, one thing our regular toaster did not do well at all.

My toaster broke soon after seven years and I wanted a unit that would toast and broil. Did not want a convection oven. I identified this unit and was particularly content about the price tag. It is fairly appealing and matches my stainless and black kitchen. The 1st factor I did right after cleaning the unit was make toast. I wanted to see how evenly it toasted. I must say I was fairly shocked at how immediately and evenly it toasted. So I'm already a happy camper. The door has a good size deal with. The unit does get hot, but from what I read most toaster ovens do. Will write yet another review soon after I've had this for awhile.
Update-2/10/10 I have had this toaster more than for awhile now and I am very happy with it! It nonetheless toast bagels bread incredibly evenly. I have put 4 slices of Orowheat bread in it and it still toasted it evenly. It does not take as extended as my typical toaster did. So I am nonetheless a content camper. The greatest element is it is not rather highly-priced! Wow to get what you want and not have to pay a high price tag! Woohoo
UPDAATE 3/31/12 - Still operating amazing, but I only use it for toast or bagels.
