Extremely disappointing product August two, 2009

I wanted a fundamental but reliable toaster oven. An older Black and Decker version we loved lastly gave in and I bought this 1 right after reading a single positive assessment. I completely hate this oven. The timer slips and stops clicking but does not turn the more than off. It is a fire hazard. A couple of occasions the oven kept toasting and I lastly noticed the smoke and burning smell. I've implemented toaster ovens for well over 40 years so I've been by way of lots. You don't make toast in an oven so why attempt to make it in a toaster oven? NO toaster ovens make toast particularly properly, and these that sort of toast bread only do it half way and it takes forever. I use a typical toaster for toasting bread.This small oven is so valuable mainly because I live in a hot climate and it is a lot cooler to bake in than a full-sized oven. And the convection portion of it is really quiet--sounds barely like a whisper--and it bakes faster and additional thoroughly than any other toaster oven I've had.I have no idea how long it will final, but for $35, I don't care. I've had this toaster oven for about 6 months now and have had no complications with it. It is a good size for my countertop. Not overly large but nonetheless major enough to bake and broil a number of foods.Truthfully, I have only tried creating toast in this oven once, mainly because I didn't acquire it for that. It toasted bread just fine, but that is what I have a toaster for. I have often regarded as a toaster oven to be a smaller oven and broiler. It preheats promptly and cooks much more evenly than my complete-size oven. This little appliance is just ideal for my husband and me. I can place a tiny casserole dish in it, bake or reheat biscuits, cook frozen stuffed chicken breasts, cook a smaller private pizza, bake two crocks of french onion soup, bake just the right quantity of frozen french fries, make a few hors d'oeuvres, and bake some fish sticks for the grandkids.There are 3 dials. One particular is the temperature setting, 1 is the timer, and the third a single has separate settings for convection bake, broil, toast, and warm. The blue light and ticking timer remind you that it's on, and there is a loud bell that rings when the time is up.The interior dimensions are roughly 11 1/two inches wide and 9 1/two inches deep.
